Lift hands, shoulder strike

3/6-3/7/10  Saturday & Sunday

Teri walks down the hall listening and singing to the Beatles.  Some of the nurses catch some of the tunes.

On Tuesday, March 9th Teri undergoes a 4th bone marrow to determine whether she is in remission.  Please send your positive energy, thoughts and prayers in her direction.

Teri’s white count is 600 and platelets reach 96,000 (low point 100 and 10K, normal level > 3500 and > 150,000).  Her bone marrow is responding.  Her appetite is good with her sister’s wonderful soul food.  The 15 lbs of fluid have come off.  Her rash is improving.  She’s feeling great.

Dad has a pneumonia of unknown cause.  He has gotten a cardiac echo, chest CT, head CT and is due for a lumbar puncture.  He has gotten confused about recent events of the last week.

Two masses have been said on Teri’s behalf by her sister Terri Lin and friend Dina.  Several Reike sessions have been sent to Teri from her niece Phyllis and friend Becky.  B’s office faces the Teri’s ward across the way and he posted red signs for her to see.

Tony visits and helps us access the China bone marrow registry.

Teri knows what she wants.  Read to her every day – we started with Bernie Siegel MD’s Peace, Love & Healing that talks about mind-body interactions and keeping a fighting spirit with serious illness.  Play the guitar for her.  In fact, I had taken the guitar out to play our and Anita & Henry’s wedding song “You’ve got a friend” by Carole king/ James Taylor … but my finger tips are raw and cut from the multiple washings for Teri’s neutropenic needs – later.

Q:  How does one embrace this life?

Go kick butt – Remission!
