BSTRONG TERI

2/16/10  Tuesday

What about a plastic bracelet … BSTRONG TERI.

A relatively smooth day.  She is losing her taste, but her appetite is still decent.

Teri exercised by talking up and down the ward and practicing Tai Chi Chuan in the lounge.  She asked me about the last steps, trying to get them down pat.

Teri is constantly thinking about Dad’s well being more than herself – medication (compliance), medical appointments, agency help, food, insurance … continuing to call Dad or remind us to remind Dad to take his medications.  Dad, whose father was a general in Guangdong Province, called Teri ‘the Chinese general who can command 10,000 troops from her bed’.  Wow, what a complement.

It is clear from our family conference – Rachel, John, Ben and I – on Saturday that we all agree that Teri is the emotional center of our family.  From her emanates the interaction, the family activity, the core values, the spirit and, the fun.  She gives and gets the love.
