Teri remarked that she felt each and every one of your prayers and thoughts yesterday and today. And she basked in all your positive telepathic energy.
She underwent her 6th bone marrow aspiration this morning. We were optimistic but prepared.
The incline became steeper today.
Within four hours, we learned that Teri had relapsed and the leukemia had returned full force. She also has elevated liver enzymes that need to improve and will get some surveillance of her heart.
She was admitted to the hospital in Room 4NT 8. 8 is an auspicious number in Cantonese – and will start over with induction chemotherapy and once in remission a bone marrow transplant. She will be in 2-3 weeks. She is planning to be out by the time Rachel and John’s little Jack arrives.
Most importantly, Teri is feeling pretty well, optomistic and is not in pain.
